Gopher it
This children's card game is about gophers collecting their winter food supply.
Each supply card shows one to three apples, carrots or nuts. During their turn, the active player can uncover in sequence up to four cards from the pile. If the same kind of fruit appears one after the other, then all cards uncovered in this turn are lost for the player. Since there are only three fruit sorts, this occurs regularly, so this provides tension both for children and adults.
If a player has more than six of a set, then he loses everything that he collected so far from this set.
If the player has exactly six pieces of a set, the player then receives a gopher trophy in exchange for the set. The first to get his third cup wins the game.

Product Details
To play Gopher It, players flip cards from a "Garden" pile, collecting food tokens (apples, carrots, nuts) while avoiding drawing the same food twice in a row. You can stop at any time to add your collected cards to separate piles in front of you. If you draw the same food twice in a row, you lose all cards from that turn. The first player to collect exactly six of a single food type earns a gopher trophy. The first player to earn three trophies wins the game.
Game setup
- Place the food cards face down in a scattered heap, called the "Garden".
- Create a face-up pile of eleven trophy cards.
- The youngest player goes first, and play proceeds clockwise.
On your turn
- Flip a card: Choose a card from the Garden and flip it face up.
- Decide to continue or stop: You can continue flipping cards one by one.
- Stop: If you decide to stop, take all the cards you flipped during this turn and place them face up in front of you in three separate piles for apples, carrots, and nuts.
- Continue: You can continue as long as you do not draw the same food twice in a row. You can continue until you have four cards in total.
- What happens when you draw two of the same food in a row: If you flip the same type of food two times in a row (e.g., two apples), your turn ends immediately, and all the cards you flipped during that turn are discarded.
- What happens when you have six of one food: If you collect exactly six of a single food type, you discard those six cards and take one Gopher Trophy. You can only earn one trophy per turn.
- What happens when you have more than six of one food: If you end up with more than six of a single food type, you lose all of that food and the cards that belong to it.
Winning the game
- The first player to earn three gopher trophies wins the game
